Effsys Expand is a research program where the industry, universities and the Swedish Energy Agency co-operates for research, development and innovation within the field of resource efficient cooling, heat pumps and storage for cooling and heating. The total budget of the program is 96 million SEK where the Swedish Energy Agency contributes with 48 million. The program is running from 2014-09-01 until 2018-09-01.
Effsys Expand is a continuation of the earlier programs Alternativa köldmedier, Klimat 21, eff-Sys, Effsys2 and EFFSYS+ which have been running since 1994. The earlier programs has contributed to the strong international position of the Swedish industry and research institutions within the field of heat pumps and cooling technology.
The main target with the program is through research, development and innovation within the field of cooling, heat pumps and storage for cooling and heating contribute to society’s transition to a more resource efficient and long term sustainable use of energy and a reduction of environmentally harmful substances within thermal storage and heat pumping systems.
